3 Best Therapists in Austin, TX

Really loving it here. I was nervous about finding a therapist since the ones I've had in the past were awful, but I've actually really enjoyed my experience so far and getting therapy has helped a lot more than I thought it would! Now I'm starting to look forward to my weekly sessions, especially because my therapist Abi is so kind and knowledgeable about mental health! I also love how easy the sign in and paying process is. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to go.

I can't recommend Just Mind enough. Such a beautiful, warm and inviting waiting room! And each therapist's office has so much character and style. Most importantly, obviously, is the quality of the counselors. Many of them, particularly Sapana, have years of experience helping people heal from trauma. David is really skilled at helping people develop communication and relationship skills. A lot of the therapists have been there for years and years - I think that says a lot about the community and culture that the owners have created. Just mind is such a special place.

The Just Mind Westlake Counseling office is a great addition to resources "south of the river" in Austin. And I am very impressed with the quality of counselors at the Just Mind Westlake office. I am actively sending referrals here for adult ADHD counseling. And finally I was thrilled to learn about Kris Downing joining the Just Mind team. She is one of the best ADHD counseling professionals in Austin with decades of experience. Thanks Just Mind for serving Austin and its mental health needs. I really love how the owners Billy & Teri Schroeder have developed Just Mind over the years.

Clinical supervision with Louis was an excellent experience. I appreciated how engaged Louis was in my development as a therapist and as a person. Louis has a wealth of knowledge and insight, particularly pertaining to depth-oriented theories and modalities. Everything that he offered me from the start came to fruition, and I remain grateful for the mentorship and guidance I had with him. Like other reviewers have said, if I had to do it all over again, I would choose Louis.

You’re making a mistake if you don’t see Nicholas Mamey. His experience in counseling couples is profound, his guidance is wise, and his ability to leave the situation better than when you walked in was stunning. STRONGLY recommend.
