TOP 3 SCRATCH BREAKFAST REVIEWS
Scratch shows up as a brick and mortar restaurant because it has a synergistic relationship with the proximate Tap Union tap house, but it is a food truck. The food is DELICIOUS with vegan options. I've missed eggs so much and was blown away by how satisfying the egg substitute was! Each dish we ordered was phenomenal and even the meatiest of meat eaters was pleasantly delighted.
Food is phenomenal, very kind people behind this truck. Seating next to the food truck is clutch and includes a small gas fireplace to keep you toasty for the cooler days. If you're hungry, order the Scratch Burrito, it's a solid portion and the flavors are spectacular. Please go support these people; we need more 100% vegan shops here in Vancouver.
Food cart next to a tap house with kombucha too! As a longtime vegan finding a place that serves delicious food that just happens to be vegan is way beyond a bonus! My husband was looking for encouragement to get my out on my gravel bike in the late January wet warm weather. This place is definitely it. The menu has enough variety to satisfy everyone. We had the breakfast sandwich with two sides - eggs and potatoes. The sandwich was on a pretzel bun that was lofty and fresh. The sausage patty was spicy enough for those who like the bite but not too spicy for those not able to handle it. The eggs added a good does of protein too. The hashbrowns were very crispy. Our sides were scrambled eggs that were fluffy and good textured. The crispy potatoes were well seasoned and served HOT! Staff was friendly and efficient for a small space. Try it, pretty sure you will like it.
