After learning I had cervical spondylosis with stenosis at C5-C6 and that there was nothing short of spinal fusion surgery that western medicine could offer me, I decided to try acupuncture for the first time. After my first session with Theresa Rizzo, the throbbing pain in my left arm went away for about 5 hours. This was quite a relief as traction, pain meds, and muscle relaxers had not been able to do this. After my 2nd treatment, my pain was gone for the whole next day. I continued with treatments and kept getting better. As with any chronic musculoskeletal disorder, I have had relapses, but continued regular treatments have drastically reduced my pain levels, muscle spasms and nerve tingling. This has enabled me to regain my normal living activities and manage my condition. I would encourage others to try acupuncture for their health problems. It has made a world of difference for me.

Since having surgery, in November 2008, for a bone spur pressing against my spinal cord, recovery has been a long process. After months of physical therapy and medication, I have improved, though I still have nerve pain in my hand and arm. I consulted with my physician, and he referred me to Dr. Theresa Rizzo, believing that acupuncture would be the only option at this point in my recovery. I showed improvement after my first treatment, and continue to improve with each additional treatment. I am very pleased with her concern for my wellness, and the professional manner in which she conducts business. I have and will continue to highly recommend Dr. Theresa Rizzo.

What can I say…She’s the best!!!! Very experienced, always on time, puts you at ease (even someone like me that is terrified of needles), and genuinely cares about doing everything in her power to make you feel better. She does this because she cares….not for a paycheck. Love her.

Wow!! Dr Alvaro and Gainesville Acupuncture & Holistic Medicine has changed my life. I have always been skeptical of Acupuncture because of previous experiences and failed attempts but when I had a life altering herniated disc in my neck I was desperate to try anything. Upon recommendation I went to see Dr Alvaro as a last attempt before surgery and WOW am I glad I did!! He used multiple techniques and was able to provide immediate relief and over a few treatments I am back to full function and competition! With my newfound trust and belief in Dr Alvaro’s practice we have been able to also relieve skin conditions and sleep disorders. UNREAL!! I would highly recommend giving Gainesville Acupuncture & Holistic Healing a try for any unresolved issues you are facing.

Dr. Tuledo did a fantastic job of relieving me of some chronic pain. He got a full understanding of what my issues were, did some movement and seating tests to gauge my pain levels/ability, and then expertly found the exact spot in my back that had been making life difficult for years. From early February - present, I have been able to walk, work, bend, stretch, etc. in a way I haven't been able to do in a long while. I'm really grateful that one of my sisters encouraged me to visit his office, and I'm grateful for Dr. Tuledo's skills.
