3 Best Physical Therapists in Gainesville, FL

Over the years I have tried quite a few therapy clinics, and have found ReQuest Physical Therapy in Gainesville, Florida, to be the best. The facility has a wide variety of exercise machines, not found in other clinics. My therapist Jeffery Gilliam, is a wealth of knowledge, and offers innovative approaches with my therapy. The staff is friendly and professional, with therapists working on a one to one basis.

I was having balance issues and Jeff Gilliam did an evaluation. I went in every week for about 2 months and with help from Ryan and Hannah I learned what triggered balance loss, how to compensate and feel more confident. I’ve also been seen at Tioga Request and would recommend either office for assistance with any movement issues you are having.

The therapists at ReQuest are knowledgeable, thoughtful & gentle in their treatments. I enjoy my visits there, knowing I’m getting the best care for optimal healing. Thanks for being there.

I went to this Physical Therapy office because of the closeness to my home. I found the David and his staff to be very professional and they all made me feel comfortable and with only a few treatments David had me walking like before I got my problem and no pain. Thank you guys for everything. I recommend them and will use them again if I need PT.

David Lower, Certified McKenzie Physical Therapist, performed treatment that immediately took my upper cervical spine pain away!! I had a neck issue, and dry needling treatment took my pain away. The entire staff is very friendly and very helpful.

David takes the time to give you a thorough,careful evaluation that includes discussion of your health and prior treatments and therapy history, your presenting problem/ condition/injury and your work, hobbies and recreation. He gets a complete picture of who you are and what caused your problem, and the abilities and activities that you want to return to. This helps him plan a tailored program for each patient. He is very gifted and skilled at manual therapy and does not have any trouble spending the time required to do this. He also hires and trains excellent exercise therapists and physical therapy assistants to guide patients through their unique exercise programs. He is always watching out of the corner of his eye to make sure that things are going well, even if he isn't working directly with his patients. His focus on wellness, that is, getting patients back to strength and doing what they want to do pain free encourages those who want to regain their strength and ability,and even become stronger then they were before they needed physical therapy. The other physical therapists at GPTW also seem to share this philosophy of aiming for as high of a level of wellness for their patients as possible. I've been to Shands and Request over the years too, and this is hands down the best physical therapy practice in town, if you are looking for highly skilled PT's and a caring, competent staff who care about their patients and helping them achieve their best active, independent lifestyle. It is also affordable, and they keep the place extremely clean, and always have (even before COVID.) I can't recommend them highly enough. - KB
