This is one of my favorite restaurants . Great food and even better vibe. I visit here with family on special occasions. Excellent chicken sandwich “Hot Hen” . Deviled eggs and Hummus are one of the best appetizers. My kid loved the hummus and veggies. Crispy chicken salad is also fantastic. Lots of drink options and a bar if you want to go nuts. Overall a great place to dine in.

Great dinner spot! So busy and energizing! The bar tenders were super-friendly and the Bohemian and Smoked bourbon were terrific. The burgers were done as ordered. Really enjoyed the brussel sprouts! Our server Brittany was fun to talk with and quick with our meal. You should go!.

Well stocked bar of whiskies but not too innovative on the cocktails. Food was quite good and paired well with whisky or bourbon based cocktails. For a weeknight it was busy and service wasn't the best but overall a good time. They also have Pappy!.

THIRSTY LION REVIEWS

A group of 8 of us with our knit/crochet group were in town for DFW Fiber Fest which is held at the Irving Convention Center. The restaurant was a short walk away. We arrived during a slower time of the day (3 pm) thus we were promptly seated and it coincided with Happy Hour. Good service and the food was quite yummy. I had the Szechuan Orange Chicken and enjoyed it immensely. Nice portion size so I had leftovers.

Miso glazed teriakye chicken bowl is amazing. Ton a flavor. Not spicy. The blood orange martini with a sugared rim was also amazing. Popular joint with lots of background noise so if you want quiet conversation, not the place.

The food was delicious, as always! And the service was amazing. Alex is awesome!.

Delicious and great atmosphere! The music was up beat and very eclectic. We enjoyed it! Gonzalo was the server and he was fantastic. He was kind, efficient, responsive and the service was quick. We ordered the Bayou Balls, as an appetizer. I ordered the pot roast w/mashed potatoes, blacked eye peas and yams. My daughter got Chicken & Dumplins, cabbage, m.p. and okra and my hubby got Buffalo chicken strips, fries, corn and Cajun rice. It was delicious!! Everything had great flavor, was seasoned well and was overall great! The cabbage didn't have much flavor but the rest was on point. The jalapeño cheddar cornbread was just perfect! The peach cobbler was so friggin good! I enjoyed ever single bite!! Overall, a very good experience. I will def be back and def recommend.

This is family. I've been coming here all my life. The owner is wonderful. I know him personally, and he’s a great man. He will do everything he can to ensure your experience is enjoyable and that you have a magnificent time at this restaurant. It’s your home away from home. I love Po Melvins.

Excellent! I love the smoked sausage Po' Boy! Drinks are good too! The fried pickles are the best I ever had tbh! So tasty!.
