ATRIA HILLCREST REVIEWS
I have friends at Atria; it's very near to us. It's a wonderful place, and they have renovated. However, it was very expensive, and I could never afford to go there. They have fewer residents, but they have a tremendous amount of space, and they have lots of common areas. They have a little lunch corner, where visitors can sit down and have snacks. They have a lot of facilities for Alzheimer's.
My mom seems happy at Atria Hillcrest. Overall, the staff has been good. They ran out of food when we had guests there and we had paid $15 per person, but they refunded the money when I talked to them. My mom does tai chi, plays cards and Bingo, and takes Spanish classes.
Jennifer gave me the grand tour of the apartment homes and I was surprised to see how safe the community is! I would definitely consider Atria Hillcrest for my loved ones!

BELMONT VILLAGE REVIEWS
We chose Belmont Village because my mother needed more care than her previous facility was able to provide, As it turns out the marketing person knew my parents from her past facility. The location also played a big part in our decision as well. The room sizes here are on the smaller side, my dad has a small studio and my mom in memory care was sharing a room. Overall, the staff has been very flexible with everything going on we would recommend the facility.
I went to Belmont Village Thousand Oaks. It was very nice. They offered everything. If it had been less money, I would have signed my husband up right there. The food was good. The staff members were friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. They offered a lot for memory. All of those were very good. I really liked it. The staff who accommodated me was excellent. I was very impressed with her. My kids who I brought with me were very impressed, too. The place was beautiful.
Belmont Village Thousand Oaks was great, but it's pretty isolated. They had great programs. The staff and the residents seemed really nice. The rooms were very nice. The activities described to me sounded great and the programs sounded phenomenal, better than any other place I had been to. They develop their programs with George Mason University and UCLA especially suited for elderly people. However, the location is at the very far end of Thousand Oaks, and it's fairly difficult to get to because it's not close to any freeway.

UNIVERSITY VILLAGE REVIEWS
It is pretty much the Gold Standard. There is not much in features you could want or need. Yes, it may seem to be a bit pricey. Think of it as an Ocean Cruise. Every thing you need is there. All services are available. You do get a handbook. It is called the contract. You need to understand it before you "set sail". And, get your trusted advisor to walk you through it. Have a safe and rewarding trip.
UVTO has been home to my mom for about 11 years. It is as beautiful and well-kept as the day she moved in. I could go on and on about the caring and capable staff, and about the beautiful grounds, the many activities, and the peace of mind that comes with families knowing our loved ones are living in such a wonderful environment. I cannot imagine a better retirement community in every way. Thank you, UVTO.
My in-laws moved here earlier this year. We spent a week visiting them and we're very impressed with the facilities, services, staff, events, and social opportunities. They love it so much; they wish they had made the move sooner!
