3 Best Bakeries in Independence, MO

My husband and I went to eat at Perkins this past weekend. We were greeted by a very nice hostess, Kelee. Kelee gave us coloring sheets and crayons. She even went out of her way to get us crayons because they only had yellow crayons in the basket at first. We were sat in Layla’s section. Layla was a magnificent server!!!! She was helpful with answering our questions about the menu items. Very positive and upbeat. She was on top of everything! We could not have had better service!!! We forgot about Perkins with all of the newer restaurants around, but I’m sure happy we saw Perkins and stopped in! Kelee and Layla made the experience so great!!! Great people working at Perkins in Independence! The breakfast is pretty great too!!!! Thank you Layla and Kelee for making our dining experience so nice!!

Great place to eat, for Seniors or anyone who likes good food for a decent price. The employees are friendly and give good service. Pictures are of the CHICKEN STRIPS DINNER and The TRIPLE DECKER CLUB. Also, for us coffee drinkers, they give you a carafe of coffee which is more than enough coffee. THE CLASSIC POTROAST is also good, comes with peas, carrots and onions. with your choice of two sides.The BIG BACON BLT is also a good sandwich, which you can add onion rings for a nominal price.

Alicia was so outstanding!!! She greeted us with a smile and served us so well and graciously. We fell in love with her! We look forward to coming back just to see Alicia . You’re very lucky to have her as the beautiful face of your company.

I have had so many gluten-free baked goods in my day trying to find something that's actually worth eating and I have found the jackpot. Frannie Frank's coffee cakes. I first caught them at the overland Park Farmers Market and I'm so grateful I snagged a coconut coffee cake. I messaged the company several days later and ask them if I could swing by there storefront and pick up some more because it was so good. The owner Jill was more than accommodating. Not only did she answer my Instagram message questions when the store had not opened yet, She set aside all the coffee cakes I had interest in and told me I could come get them anytime. Not only is the food great but the customer service is amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Food always tastes better when it's made with love. Every time I come into this building I'm met with a smile. This is a family business and the love they have for the work they do is baked into the cake you buy here. I am a cake fiend and I'm also very particular and this is probably the best texture and moisture in a cake I have ever had. We live in a capitalistic world and it's really hard to find a place that makes food that literally feels like there's love in it. I'm happy I've found this absolute GEM!

Frannie Franks Coffee Cakes is a delightful find! The cakes are rich, moist, and full of homemade flavor—just like grandma used to make. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the shop has a cozy, inviting feel. A perfect place to pick up a sweet treat or thoughtful gift.
