Later, he graduated from New York University School of Law in 2007. While in his first year of law school, Zachary earned first place in the school's oral advocacy competition and participated in the school's Mock Trial team throughout law school. From 2007-2009, Zachary served as an associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, an international law firm of over 1,500 lawyers known worldwide for the excellence of its trial practice. Leopold Z. Sher is a Co-managing Member of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, L.L.C. He received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School, New Orleans, Louisiana, and he obtained his B.A. (Cum Laude) from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, the USA in 1974. Sher is a business lawyer whose practice is focused on commercial real estate and business and finance law. He is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. This trade association represents the interests of those involved in the shopping center industry, including lenders, tenants, owners, and developers. Sher was also a member of the Lender's Counsel Group of the ALTA (American Land Title Association) from 1986-1999. New Orleans Bar Association's delegate to him for the Pro Bono Project.
