“Engine House Cafe serves hearty American breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a former fire station with an original wood ceiling. Roger P is the Business Owner of Engine House Cafe. Roger Pletcher has led the Engine House Cafe team for over eight years. The Engine House Cafe was Havelock's original fire station. Engine House #4, built in 1900, was home to a horse-drawn fire team. In the 1970s, the station moved to Fremont and Touzalin. All the wall memorabilia came from retired and active firemen, their families, and friends. The Engine House was renovated in early 1995 to become The Engine House Cafe. The cafe is a community gathering spot where you can grab a quick bite in the morning or host a rehearsal dinner for your extended family. Every Tuesday during October, exclusively hungry Husker members can get a FREE beverage with the purchase of a meal. They specialize in classic dishes like biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, and pancakes. At Engine House Cafe, you can enjoy good food and conversation. They also offer takeout, catering, free Wi-Fi, and ample street parking. Engine House Cafe is a kid-friendly cafe.”
