It was around this time 8 years ago when I first tried Nothing Bundt Cakes for the first time ever at this location. It is the best cake ever. I’ve served at my wedding for a take home treat and each state that I’ve lived in I’ve shared with friends and family. I picked up an order today in MD, but decided to leave my post at the location where I first tried this amazing cake!

Amazing customer service. Got a red velvet birthday cake for my wife and it was ready hours before I needed it which was perfect for me. We have been to this location a few times and every time the staff is super helpful and very effective getting the right order out.

My son gets my birthday cake here every year! BEAUTIFUL and delicious! They do a fabulous cake! This one is Red Velvet. Thank you so much! Makes the day even more special!

The staff at Scratch Bakery was very accommodating in filling our special order for a blackberry cake. The heavy naked finish and happy birthday writing provided the perfect backdrop for the final touches of blackberries, blueberries, candies oranges, and mint. Everybody loved it, it was delicious, and the guest of honor was very impressed by it! Very grateful to have such an amazing bakery in our area!

Recently requested a cake for my son’s birthday who loves sonic. I showed scratch bakery a photo reference and the result was even better than expected. The cake looked amazing and tasted great as well. Friendly staff as well was the icing on the cake.

We had our wedding cake from here and it was delicious! They provided great customer service and communication! The cake very moist even a few days after! We got alot of compliments on how good it was.

I was next door picking up our sushi order and saw this place, so I stopped by on a whim. And I'm SO GLAD that I did. The entire building smells heavenly, and the displays are gorgeous I chose a six-pack of cupcakes so we could try a few, and I regret not getting a dozen. We had the Cookies-and-creme, coconut, German-chocolate, pink vanilla, and carmel, and every single one of them was delicious. For fresh, high-end baked cupcakes, the price point is fantastic. I will absolutely be going here again and will likely look into a cake order for an upcoming birthday. I may even drag a friend here next week for a visit since the atmosphere is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend you visit Smallcakes.

Small Cakes has been our favorite cupcake place in Newport News for years now. Everytime we pass by Newport News we stop here. Her shop is so cute and you can take a lot of cute Instagram pics in there with the decor setup. I’ve bought cupcakes here for my daughters college and high school graduation and the staff is so helpful and kind about everything. I would recommend to anyone to go here! The white cake was incredibly moist with delicious filling and yummy frosting. Decorating was beautiful. Wendy and staff were delightful to work with and very accommodating! I will go back!
