Modern Pastry was one of our wedding venue’s (Aria) preferred vendors and was included with our wedding package. We chose Modern Pastry because of all the good reviews. When we did our cake tasting, I thought their cakes were so good – they were moist and soft. We liked that we could alternate the flavors across the different tiers. Carla was very easy to work with via email as questions arose and we designed our wedding cake. We went with the white cake, but alternated the filling flavor on our 3 tiers between the Oreo Mousse and the lemon mousse with strawberry mousse. We also went with the white buttercream frosting. So many of our guests were raving about our cake. It is so good – I’m already itching to eat the top layer of our cake for our first anniversary.

Our wedding venue, The Lake House, included a cake from Modern Pastry Shop with our package. Modern Pastry was wonderful to work with during our planning process. Carla was very easy to communicate with and she made sure that every last detail was handled from setting up a tasting to the flavor and design of our cake, and drop off at our venue. Not to mention, the cake was absolutely delicious- white cake with Oreo mousse filling, and buttercream frosting, 10/10 recommend!
