I’ve been to Ichiban many times and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Hartford. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is laid back. Their bento boxes are a great value and you can sample different things like glass noodles, gyoza, a roll and seaweed and squid salad plus your entree. I’ve also had their stir fry and other dishes, though today I’m sharing pics of take-out and they just never, ever disappoint. Everything is perfect.

The restaurant is located in a good location. We came here for a late lunch at 2pm. Parking was okay. The staff is very friendly. For an order of a big group, we got our food and side dishes pretty quick, which was great. The side dishes were quite good. The bento and sushi boats were good too. However, their California roll and Eel cucumber roll were okay. Overall, we like their service and lunch specials.

This is my favorite restaurant. I’ve been eating here over 12 years. They’ve been around over 25 years. They service excellent side dishes and their customer service awesome. Friendly workers and very inviting atmosphere. Foods are very authentic with good presentation. I go there regularly once or twice a week.

Our family has been getting sushi here for years and it is HANDS DOWN the BEST sushi we've had. I no longer live in West Hartford, and I've yet to find a place that lives up to the sushi here. It's a small place, and we usually did takeout, but that's because all the effort went into delicious food.

Best sushi around Hartford. Happy to get something new or stick to favorites- either way never disappointed! Great family business with a very kind and skilled owner.

My favorite spot for takeout sushi in West Hartford! Friendly service, great prices, and the sushi is always high quality and delicious. Definitely recommend.
