We hired Duanes Catering last weekend to cater a 40th birthday party, and honestly, they completely blew us away. Planning a milestone birthday can be stressful, but the moment they set up, we knew we were in great hands. We ended up going with their Korean BBQ package, and it was a massive hit.The food was incredible. The meats were so tender and perfectly marinated, and all the sides and sauces tasted fresh and authentic. Usually at large parties, the food can be hit-or-miss, but every single guest was walking around talking about how amazing the K-BBQ was. What really set them apart, though, was the vibe and the service. The team was so warm, professional, and attentive. They took care of absolutely everything, which actually allowed us to sit back, mingle, and enjoy the night instead of running around playing host. If you are looking for a caterer that delivers stellar food and makes the entire process stress-free, do yourself a favor and book them. We are already looking for an excuse to host another party just to hire them again.

I was recommended from trusted associates of mine that had uses Duanes catering prior, I ended up needing food and servers for our annual summer outdoor company event . The rotation of caterers we normally use were not available and I really didn't have options . They recommended Duanes catering to me and at first I was taken a back by how quick and professional their response was , they walked my through the entire process and complied with our internal processes. Once the day came they over delivered , we went with the street taco Mexican buffet fused with BBQ buffet and it was FANTASTIC!!! I can't rant and rave enough, the servers who were there dressed nicely and were very kind and prompt and assisted with everything we needed. I have now added them to our catering rotation and have already contracted them for a upcoming event we have in September, I can't thank then enough for how well they did.

First of all I must say that Tavion did an incredible job helping me prepare a specific menu for our vegetarian diet and then he went even more in depth to come up with individual dishes from different countries we have visited. Domenic did an amazing job preparing the dinner for us. He told us about each item as he brought it out, all the unique ingredients, and even paired wine with the meal. It was an unforgettable birthday dinner. Highly recommend and I will definitely be using Duane's Catering in the future.

I am thrilled that Blue Heron Catering catered my wedding at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. The food was delicious and beautiful. We had so many compliments. We LOVED it! The appetizers were awesome, the salad, delicious, the white seabass, duck breast with pear and shaved fennel, the asparagus and lemon risotto... Just so wonderful! The staff was so warm and personable. I felt like we were making new friends. On top of providing us with delicious food and service, Debbie is so experienced and calm! She walked us through all kinds of questions about what we wanted to see at our wedding and basically guided us to make this the wedding we wanted. Her relaxed affect kept me calm as we made all kinds of choices. I am so grateful to her. She is like a magical project manager who seems to be guiding an afternoon stroll when actually making important things happen, and nothing slipped. She also knows the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden's policies and people, so she can navigate their expectations easily. There were no surprises. Everything was smooth, delicious and upbeat. I recently worked with Blue Heron Catering for a wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Their team was organized, communicative, and incredibly easy to collaborate with. The food was beautifully presented and delicious — guests were raving about it all night. I also want to give a special shout-out to AnneMarie, the main event manager. She was incredible to work with — professional, positive, and clearly skilled at leading her team. She kept everything running smoothly, responded quickly to every question, and approached the entire day with such a great attitude. Blue Heron is absolutely the best catering experience I have had. EVER! Their food is absolutely superb (I had compliments from many guests), surprisingly reasonable prices, for numerous, interesting menu options, and outstanding communication and flexibility. I worked with them on a wedding reception for my son and daughter in law, and Debbie Pfisterer and her wonderful team worked with us to stay within budget, design an indoor outdoor floor plan for our space, and plan for weather contingencies (ie rain). They are a local, independent business in the East Bay, with kind and patient staff. Every staff member at the event went above and beyond with customer service. Special shout outs to Junior, Humberto, and Liz. I cannot recommend Blue Heron more highly for your event.
