This place was AMAZING!! Today was my first going and I definitely will be returning. Let me start with the fact that the service was so friendly! Everyone was very kind and attentive to my boyfriend and I from the moment we walked in the door. He got the chicken and waffles and I got the chicken dinner. The portions are very nicely sized and the fact two people can eat there for under $30 shows just how affordable it is!. Our food was excellent! Which says a lot because I'm from the South and am always disappointed when attending 'soul food' restaurants. Not here!! I felt like I was eating my mother's home cooked Sunday dinner! I left satisfied, very satisfied, and the only thing they were missing was a bed for me to take a nap after finishing my entire plate. Please go experience this lovely restaurant!!! Bless

You will love it here. The food came out quick. It was fresh and hot and the portions were on portions were amazing. Anytime I am in Newark, I will be stopping here and bringing others.

Good food for years... We really enjoy the Whiting dinners with Potato salad, String beans and cornbread.

The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with clear attention to quality and freshness. What truly stood out was the attention to detail, from the elegant decorations to the seamless setup. Gabriel and his entire staff were professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their dedication and genuine care made our event unforgettable. Highly recommend this catering service for anyone looking for top-tier food and outstanding customer service.

Gabriel and his team were absolutely amazing. I had them cater an event for me and their presentation is amazing. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and they took care of everything for me. If I could give them a better score than 5 stars, I certainly would. Thanks again.

2nd year we do catering for Thanksgiving dinner, would recommend his catering to anyone his food is so good , He is such and nice person.

Props to Hobby's for making what is by far the best pastrami I have had and for taking allergies seriously as well. The cook came out and reassured me of their cooking and contamination free process. The pastrami wrap was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The staff was all friendly and helpful as well. And the homemade vanilla coke was amazing!

In town from Alabama for the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight MBB games. Walked to Hobby’s from our hotel for lunch. Holy Moly! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Everyone who worked in there was so nice. Enjoyed talking to the owner. We shared a sandwich, onion rings, poutine, and a potato knish! Would recommend all of it!

Definitely a must try! The pickles they include are really good too I think it’s two different kinds they give you. I will always visit every time I’m in the area now. I’m glad I took the suggestion I saw it suggested everywhere as a great place in the area. Best corn beef and pastrami I’ve ever tasted!
