"The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis is a Roman Catholic church that hosts various concerts every season, showcasing world-class talent. This church is a masterpiece of art and history and also features 2,500 seats on the floor and 5,000 in the galleries. The inaugural Mass was held six years after the laying of the cornerstone. This sacred haven is an incredible achievement. The Archdiocese's Mother Church's magnificent mosaics were built to teach them all that God reaches into their earthly lives. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis gathers to worship at every Mass, offering their precious gift of self. The church also strives to meet its calling to baptism through prayer and worship, and by educating and expressing its faith.

2026 Update: George D Barnett of Barnett, Haynes, and Barnett of Saint Louis designed the entire cathedral structure. The mosaics were installed in 1916 by the Gorham Company of New York."
