“Basilica of Saint Josaphat, located in the Historic Lincoln Village on the south side of Milwaukee, serves as a mission of the Conventual Franciscans. Functioning as a Franciscan hub for meditation, devotion, inspiration, and aesthetic appreciation, the basilica also houses a vibrant Roman Catholic parish, bearing witness to the faith instilled by Polish immigrants. As a destination for pilgrimages, special devotions, and a site of historical significance for the faithful, the Basilica of Saint Josaphat welcomes visitors Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. Self-guided tours offer insight into the architectural and artistic history of the basilica, complemented by a free display of photographs and narratives illustrating its story. The basilica offers unique resources to sanctify the holiest of weeks in these extraordinary times. With a capacity of over 1,000 on the ground floor and additional space in the galleries, the basilica invites all to partake in worship, prayer, and moments of reflection together. Whether for a visit, a tour, or to engage in worship, all are encouraged to join the spiritual journey at the Basilica of Saint Josaphat.
