My husband and I went to Fred Astaire for private lessons for our wedding first dance and we are so happy we chose to work with them. Kennedy made us feel so comfortable and excited about the entire process and we looked forward to our weekly lessons with her. She not only choreographed our entire dance (a salsa- no easy feat!) but she paid attention to every detail, made sure we were happy and comfortable doing the moves, and was so creative with her changes when we weren’t comfortable. The studio has a really great community of regulars and each week we got to see some familiar faces. At the end of all the lessons we did a “showcase” where we performed the dance in front of a group of people we had come to recognize through the many lessons and it was such a relief to get the nerves of performing in front of a bunch of people out of our system. We can’t wait to come back to learn different styles of dance during their group lessons. Thank you thank you thank you Kennedy and the whole Fred Astair family.

As someone who didn’t have any social dance experience, I will vouch for the studios ability to walk you through the initial discomfort and learning curve of dancing. The instructors (Kennedy, Dubraska, Stas and Rusland) will tailor their teaching style to meet your needs. I highly recommend coming in and giving it a try. I also recommend taking the group classes as this will accelerate your learning. Everyone is friendly and happy to see new students join the group. Don’t worry about looking foolish or not knowing what to do. Everyone went through that phase and don’t expect you to know everything from day one. I have also met many wonderful people (instructors and fellow students) who will not hesitate to give a helping hand. It’s a great community to be a part of. People here will genuinely celebrate your improvements.

Kennedy is an amazing dance instructor. She took two people who could barely walk straight and gave us a moment and wedding first dance we’ll never forget. We loved her incredible energy and patience – it gave us comfort and really made us both enjoy the entire process.

Simply Dancing and Art’s social dance class was awesome. My husband and I had so much fun learning the steps for bachata, and our instructor, Angelina, was truly wonderful—welcoming, patient, energetic, and so easy to follow. The people in the class were equally terrific, which made the whole experience even better. It was a wonderful evening, and great way to connect to other community residents. Needless to say, we are now hooked, and can't wait for our next class!.

Giovanni made our first dance lesson so much fun! My partner came in super nervous, but by the end he was actually spinning me around like he was a pro Giovanni is incredibly talented, patient, and made us feel so comfortable from the start.
