HUGH TAYLOR BIRCH STATE PARK REVIEWS
Came here on a rainy day during the off season but it was well worth the $6 entry fee. On a dryer day I would have explored the hiking trails more. But still managed to get a good look at everything and take a few short walks. Also plenty of park areas with picnic tables, grills and more There is also an historic building that is now a visitor center, and a garden center and garden walk. The garden center was closed but you might enjoy these slightly liminal photos of an empty place that is normally very lively.
I had forgotten how charming this park is. There is access to the beach and so many trails to walk. And you can walk along the Intercoastal or kayak. Lots of places to picnic. My visit brought back many memories, 60 years of them. There used to be a train you could ride on, running through the park. I enjoyed the garden club area as well.
Nice park. The best way to park your car if you want to get to the beach in Fort Lauderdale. There are public restrooms and a nice cafe to have a bite or a drink right across the beach. People bike, walk, and kayak in the park. And there are also beautiful banyans worth seeing.

SECRET WOODS NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
This park should be named Secret Jewel, seems small but it's full of interesting trails and deck walkways, well kept, easy access, the tree structures are something else, mangroves, oaks, old banyans, every step there's something new to see, kids playground looks pretty fun, long walkways over the mangroves with thousands of fiddle crabs making well fiddle crab noise. The museum and exhibition hall is quite interesting and well stock with a mixture of fauna and Ft Lauderdale and the river history, staff is very friendly and proud of their park. On a colorful note....they have the nicest and cleanest bathrooms on a public park I've ever seen !!! Come on by for family fun you won't be disappointed.
What a gem!!!! This park is beautiful!!! Staff is wonderful, very friendly. Clean beautiful bathrooms!! 10+ You can spend an hour or two here. Trails are short but really awesome!!! Saw lots of butterflies, crabs, birds Lots of information on the nature center, about history as well. Recommend!
What a wonderfully lovely place to walk! It is so nice to be surrounded by many welcoming nature trails while living in an area that doesn't always seem so nature focused. There are definitely bugs and wildlife all around you here. Be prepared to see some beautiful creepy crawly spiders!

HAMPTON PINES PARK REVIEWS
Love this park!!! Early morning access for exercise starts at 7:30 - just walk across the bridge after parking in the outside lot. The outer paved trail is about 1 mile with lots of shade coverage. Alternate trails break up the monotony and there are workout stations too. Covered pavilions, clean restrooms, multiple shady playgrounds, and boat rentals make this a popular spot.
Very pleasant place to go for a walk. You can sit, relax and eat at any of the many picnic tables throughout the entire park. There are exercise tools to use to assist you in your workout. You can rent bikes for the trails, canoes and paddle boats for the lake. Several playgrounds in different locations in the park. I luv this park and it's real close to home.
Well maintained park. Great trails for walking or jogging. Lovely lake in the middle with picnic areas and covered pavilions you can rent.
