Vega is happy to accommodate you for private lessons, whether it's to prep you for an audition, improve your technique, or to have a one-on-one with your instructor to get you more in the groove. They commonly do Tease & Tone or BurlyQ for bridal showers, or bachelorette parties, or other special events you might have going on, but they can help you with many dance formats. At Vega, you can get a discount for buying classes in blocks, rather than in singles. Vega Dance+Lab is conveniently located in the heart of Portland's southeast industrial district, inside an old brick warehouse-turned-dance studio.

They teach social dancing, not competitive DanceSport or performance-oriented choreography. Their classes are built around the student and the Portland dance community, not a sales model, or members-only club. Also, their beautiful 1,600 square feet room is available for rent. They can host around 50 visitors, provide an optional dance lesson, if that the kind of party you want to have & lots of times available during the holidays, weekends, and even during the day for company events. Whether you are looking for basic training to get you ready for your special day, or you have particular choreographic wants, their instructors can help. They also pride themselves on creating capable, creative, graceful, and happy dancers, so expect to be impressed with what you’ll learn to do. The dance school presents Gift certificates for you.

'NW Dance Project' is an award-winning, strong, and innovative contemporary dance company & it was founded by acclaimed dancer, instructor, and choreographer Sarah Slipper. NW is dedicated to creating and performing inspired, original contemporary dance works from the field’s most talented choreographers from around the world & rendering the finest dance training for all. NW has encouraged the creation and Portland premiere of nearly 300 original contemporary dance works to date. They also give the experience of dance and ongoing, interactive dance education programs for young, challenged members through a cost-free Dance Moves program & holding free public performances as often as possible. They also strive to engage individuals and communities with dance through accessible performances by their studio sessions, dance samplers, outdoor and special events, masterclasses, collaborations with artists of other visual genres & conversation with artists.
