SCHOOL OF ROCK PORTLAND REVIEWS
My daughter enjoys Rock 101 as well as her private voice lessons with Rachel Fannan. Sometimes, other teachers fill in—All the teachers are fantastic and make the kids laugh. My daughter’s also able to explore other instruments with ease and affordability (guitar and now drums). School of Rock is such a fun environment to learn music in a meaningful way while making friends/learning to work as a team.
What an amazing place for kids and teens! Learning to play with a group is a wonderful opportunity and doing it with music your kids actually listen to makes it all the better. The staff, the teachers, the environment, the instructions are all superior. It’s a great place for kids to learn and increase their musical knowledge and showmanship while having fun. The performances are top rate. I couldn’t be happier with the experience.
I love that your programs engage kids in the music that THEY love and exposes them to many genres that they may not have heard before. The instructors are wonderful; they have a passion for music themselves, encourage their students, and know just how to pull out the best in their students by providing music that challenges their abilities in order to further develop their skills.

The talented teachers here okay multiple instruments each. This helped my child, a beginner, find a band instrument she loved—knowing she could change instruments if needed, as she found one that suited her.

It's a really good place to go send your children and force them to play music. Plus the people who work there are extremely nice and easy to work with.

ELIASON SCHOOL OF MUSIC REVIEWS
We have been doing violin lessons with Chris since August, and piano lessons since October and we love him! He got our daughter quickly playing songs on her violin and her confidence has grown so much. He is outgoing, very fun, makes the kids laugh, and is a great teacher. He makes learning music fun, and takes off a lot of the pressure that can come with music lessons. His bright personality helps the girls come out of their shells. We highly recommend.
I took violin lessons from Brian from age 8 until 18 and it was a great experience. Brian is an incredibly patient and helpful teacher. Throughout the many years I practiced with Brian he was always very supportive and encouraging. He is very good at pushing you to do your best, but also knows when to pull back to not push too hard. The recital concerts that the school puts on are a great way to gain experience performing for a supportive audience. I highly recommend the Eliason School of Music to anyone looking to learn the violin.
My 14 year old daughter has been taking Violin lessons for over a year from Brian at Eliason School of Music. He came highly recommended to me from someone I knew who’s son took lessons from him. The price for lessons is pretty reasonable and I have been very happy with his teaching. He is patient and very calm. He uses lots of analogies and stories to teach. Best of all, my daughter has continued to progress and wants to keep playing violin. I feel very lucky to have Brian as my daughter’s teacher.
