“Dr. Valerie M. Harvey obtained her undergraduate and a medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed her internship at the University of Maryland Medical Center and as Chief Internship. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a highly trained, board-certified dermatologist with over two decades of clinical experience delivering specialized patient-centered treatment for skin, hair, and nail diseases. She focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pigment disorders such as hyperpigmentation and melasma, as well as other skin conditions that affect minority patients disproportionately. Dr. Valerie's research focused on studying melanoma outcome disparities and using dermatology resources for underserved populations. She serves on multiple boards and committees for the American Academy of Dermatology and the Skin of Color Society. She is a pediatrician at TPMG Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology. Their mission is to improve overall health by providing exceptional dermatologic care to every patient.”
