I can't say enough good things about Gretchen's training skills & approach! My husband and I were in way over our heads with our overstimulated baby land shark lab, so we decided to do a Board & Train after completing the Puppy Crash Course. Hands down, the best decision we could have made! Our girl learned so much in that time, but almost more importantly Gretchen gave us the tools to continue her training in our daily life. It's been so enjoyable to work with our pup after the very solid base of everything she learned at the B&T. Gretchen was incredibly professional and responsive throughout the entire process, and continues to check in to help with our journey. I'd HIGHLY recommend Iron Oak to anyone considering training, Gretchen is truly a miracle worker.

Gretchen is AMAZING. My husband and I are first time puppy owners who also have a toddler at home. We are so happy with the progress our puppy has made and we would not have been able to do it, without Gretchen! She is always a phone call/ email away. She works with your specific concerns, and really takes the time to make sure you understand everything she teaches. We are so thankful to be able to work with her and can’t wait to take other future classes.

Recently attended Nate's NePoPo Gun dog seminar at Rusty Guns Kennel. It was a fantastic seminar! It was great watching dogs and handlers learn. Nate is a great communicator and dog trainer.

I am so happy that I found Denise to work with my 3 year old French bulldog. He is a sweet boy who is really nervous and unsure of himself. Overtime he developed a leash reactivity that I couldn’t handle myself, and I found walks so stressful that our world was becoming smaller and smaller. Seeing their interactions during a consultation meeting, I knew that Denise would be able to help him AND me. So after 2 weeks of a board and train stay with Denise, she worked wonders on building up Kevin’s confidence, trust in his human, and ability to stay focused and calm in numerous environments. What I loved most in my update videos is seeing how encouraging she is with her style. It was something I knew I could emulate. Now that he’s back home with me, Denise continues to help me in making sure I’m reenforcing the right behaviors in the right ways. Our walks with my other dog are so peaceful now and we can get back out into the world again. I really couldn’t thank Denise enough for her help. I know I’ll be reaching out to her should I need help with any of my other dog training needs.

We loved working with Denise to help train our anxious and possessive pup. We struggled to keep our dog’s attention on walks and she was constantly pulling and zigzagging around us. We were given easy to implement tools and ways to make our dog more confidant and more attentive to us, which has made life and walks so much easier. After just a few sessions we saw huge improvements in our dog’s behavior and she also seems happier and less anxious!!! Can’t recommend Denise enough.

Denise has been wonderful. Our 1-year old puppy has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of months. He is a completely different dog to the one Denise met on day one. He’s more confident, he listens, and we have been able to take him out more with less anxiety. Thank you, Denise.
