3 Best Endocrinologists in Providence, RI

I had an extremely positive appointment with Dr. Hodarkar. I felt he was genuinely interested in my health and explained what steps were possible to improve my condition….he had many options to find out the nature of my problem and is methodical in his approach. I am extremely lucky to be his patient. I highly recommend him…and his assistant is right on top of things. I’m in very good hands.

I saw Dr. Hodarkar for the first time recently and am very happy he is the doctor I choose to see! He truly listened to my concerns and took the time to explain everything in detail. He is very knowledgeable and educated me about how different conditions come about and ways to prevent / improve them. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hodarkar , I have been seeing him for 6 years and it was the best decision I ever made. My diabetes was out of control when I first meet him and he really set up a plan that has worked for me. His whole staff is just great. I highly Recommend him.

My experience at Dr. Ortiz’s office was nothing short of excellent! As a new patient, I have never been to such an efficient doctors office. As soon as I received the new patient paperwork to fill out, I was called in to get my blood drawn (they literally have a lab in the office!). Once that was finished, I returned to the waiting area to start filling out the paperwork, yet the medical assistant called me to the exam room for routine procedures (blood pressure, take my weight, etc.). When the medical assistant left the exam room, I attempted to complete the new patient paperwork. However, Dr. Ortiz walked right in! I literally laughed because everyone was so quick and efficient, that I never finished filling out the new patient paper work! Dr. Ortiz was extremely comforting and informative as he took his time to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend his practice.

I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and had 2 prior endocrinologists who were horrible. They didn't work with me and I steadily got worse over the 3 years I was 'treated' by them. Between my 1st visit and my 2nd one, 30 days later, Dr. Ortiz had scheduled a biopsy, referred me to the top surgeon (because I wanted surgery over RAI) and referred me to an orbital specialist because I also had Graves Eye Disease. There was more progress in the first 30 days as his patient than in the 3 years I was under the care of the other 2 endocrinologists. He has a wonderful bedside manner, his energy is calming, he listens to you and hears what you want and always takes the time to explain things or go over options. I brought my mom (in the medical field as well) to meet him because I was floored that doctors such as him existed! I have referred 3 people to him already and I have never had a more pleasant experience while at the doctors. He is the best of the best.
