“Dr. Alan H. Daniels obtained his medical degree from the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Brown University. He completed his Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship and his Spinal Surgery/Spinal Deformity Surgery fellowship at Brown University, Providence, RI. He specializes in complex spine problems, including scoliosis and adult spinal deformity. He has expertise in adult spinal deformity and other complex spinal disorders. Dr. Alan's research interests include spinal biomechanics, optimizing outcomes following spinal deformity surgery, preventing complications, and correcting complex spinal deformities. Dr. Daniels is a high-volume spine surgeon, performing over 500 spine surgeries per year. Dr. Alan has published over 480 peer-reviewed articles and 550 national and international research posters/presentations. He has edited four orthopedic education textbooks. Dr. Alan serves as the Adult Spinal Deformity Service Chief at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital.”
