Before optometry school, he graduated with Latin honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology. I called Sonoma Eyeworks to see if they could help fix my friend’s glasses while she was visiting from out of town. Monica told us to come right in, and as soon as we arrived, she took care of it super quickly! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. You can tell they really care about their customers. They also have a great selection of stylish glasses—we were both impressed. Highly recommend.

This place is a vacation-saver! I was visiting wine country and the bow of my spectacles snapped off. We called sonoma family optical and they said they had 4, yes 4, opticians available to help ( other places I called had zero). These folks are knowledgeable. They were familiar with my spectacle design and had it repaired within 5’. And they added a fix to make it less likely for the problem to recur —and it was all complementary! By the way, the frame selections in the store are fantastic too.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Ella is great! Always greeted immediately and with a smile. Dr. Ricks really takes his time reviewing and explaining everything with your exam. Great selection of eyewear! They always have something for my oversized head (really hard to find something that fits well). Overall great experience and always look forward to my annual exam.

Dr. Shipley is incredible! He’s super knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. He wants to correct your vision and get you out of glasses if possible. Instead of putting a band aid on the problem. He can do it all I received punctual plugs over a year ago and it’s been amazing for me. I however still have extremely dry eyes due to Sjogren’s and eye fatigue from digital screens. Not a problem for the Dr. he will continue to follow up and literally will try everything to help you not be in pain. You have a serious problem he has the solution. I’ve seen a lot of optometrist and he’s in a league of his own…He’s practically my hero! The rest of staff is amazing as well! They don’t miss a beat. The best selection of eyewear as well. Came for the glasses stayed for the service over and over.

Dr. Margot Shipley was fantastic with both of my girls. She explained everything very well and made them comfortable during exam. My youngest needed glasses and the girl who helped find frames was SOOO patient with my daughter who had a tough time deciding. The office ladies were very knowledgeable of our insurance which was extreme helpful. I’m so glad we chose this office for our eye care.

Dr. Shipley provides very through exams and explains everything in detail. The office has a huge selection of frames and they’re very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this office to everyone i know.
