Penwell-Gabel is an excellent funeral home. All the staff is very kind, respectful and patient. They truly care for the families of their loved ones that they’ve lost. My Step Father recently passed away and Penwell-Gabel was very kind and patient about it. During our consultation, the woman that we worked with didn’t try to up sell us or pressure to purchase other items when we told her we bought an urn from somewhere else. He was very ill and had lots of health issues, since he passed in our home suddenly there was an investigation which included an autopsy. Due to all his health issues he had multiple specialists instead of one primary care physician. All of them refused to sign the death certificate and Penwell-Gabel was just as disgusted as we were along with the JoCo medical examiner. They’ve been extremely patient and respectful, they care for the families and respect their loved ones. Once again, I’m thankful that they are so patient while we try to figure out this whole situation, it was already an awkward time as he passed 3 days before Christmas, then with all the awful winter weather and not a single doctor signing off on the death certificate, so he’s just been resting in the morgue for the past few weeks. It has been a really hard time for me and especially my mother. At our consultation she balled out her eyes the whole time, and the woman who we were meeting with was extremely patient.
