“Diamond Head is a natural cone on Oahu's Hawaiian island and is the most famous Hawaiian state park. The trail leads visitors to the summit of the volcanic tuff cone and former fort with panoramic views. The British soldiers who toured the area in the 19th century believed that the sparkling calcite crystals on the nearby beach were diamonds. Diamond Head stands at an elevation of 761 feet above sea level. The park offers stunning views of both the Pacific Ocean and Honolulu. You can walk along a path that leads to the bottom of the 300,000-year-old crater, which occupies 350 acres. The last activity of the volcanic tuff cone was between 150,000 and 200,000 years ago. Diamond Head took 1.5-2 hours to walk 1.6 miles (2.5 km).
