“Bird's Fort Trail Park is 57.99 acres of natural beauty where visitors can hike the trails, picnic in the pavilion, birdwatch, and overlook the river. The trail is generally considered an easy route and loop type. The new Bird's Fort is on Caloway Lake, a privately owned lake in Arlington. There are three parking lots, one on the southern side, one about 4 miles north, and another about 7 miles north under the highway. The park has a river/creek and unpaved nature trails. Bird's Fort Trail Park provides access to the Campión Trail. Concrete paths in the park provide plenty of views of the water. Bird's Fort Trail Park features a shaded area and benches for visitors. The well-maintained trails make it an excellent place for both biking and walking.”
