ELIZABETH RIVER TRAIL REVIEWS
We spent an early morning walking the dog out here. It was lovely. I sorta feel like trail is a bit of a misnomer since there isn't much signage for it and directions drop you in the middle of town. So, not exactly what I expected but a great way to see downtown.
Great waterfront walking trail when the weather is nice. Benches if you want to rest or just admire the view.
A very good place to start doing your daily exercises. So beautiful and city keep it clean.

HOFFLER CREEK WILDLIFE PRESERVE REVIEWS
A great little place for hiking! Just around the lake trail is a little over a mile. Then you can add an all the side trails. There is even the kids trail. The staff in the visitor center were very helpful. They didn't have a map the day I was there, so I just took a picture of the sign. I didn't run across any critters at all, even a squirrel. But the birds were chattering away the whole time. The trails can get a little rough, which means probably not a good choice for a wheelchair. Parking for approximately 20 cars.
Great for a walk around the lake! It’s a mile all the way around, and/or you can take off shoot trails. No running though, which is sad. But beautiful nature walk and rarely many people there
The trails are nice and they keep it really clean. A nice peaceful place for a walk.
