GUAJOME COUNTY PARK REVIEWS
Great hidden treasure off the 76 in North County. There’s plenty of trails here for walking , biking and horseback riding. Trails are clearly marked and have speed warning signs for people on bikes. There’s a campground nearby and an attached parking area that cost $3 for the day. I opted to park on one of the residential streets across from the entrance to the trails. The trails go past two lakes and there a few little bridges that span the streams that feed into the lakes. I saw lots of birds, a rabbit and a weasel of some sort. There are warning signs for rattlesnakes but I didn’t see any reptiles. Great park with decent selection of trails. There a sparingly few trash cans so please take your trash with you and keep the park clean.
Fun little park to run with your dog, enjoy the views of the lake, or have a picnic with your family. They even have a few camping sites! If you do plan on camping here during the weekend be sure to plan ahead and reserve a spot because they do all fill up. There is many well worn trails around the lake and through the marsh. There is a 3 dollar entrance fee cash only so make sure you plan for that!
Loved our stay in this park! Nice playground and picnic areas. Ducks to feed on the lake with many walking trails. Clean park and restrooms! We had no trouble with our 40ft 5th wheel and pads were nice with table and fire pit. Smaller campground with limited spots for big rigs so plan early!.

SAN LUIS REY RIVER TRAIL REVIEWS
I enjoy riding this paved trail to the beach and back it is a good workout and a nice peaceful ride without cars to worry about and it is a great safe place to take your kids to learn to ride without the fear of traffic. My Grandkids love riding on this trail we usually go to the Harbor for ice cream and look at the boats then we heard on back so much fun and very relaxing.
Wonderful trail that ends in Oceanside town. there some um, characters on the trail and some encampments to one side, so just stay aware of surrounding and avoid hazards if needed. Never had a negative run in, thankfully. There are parks along the way to stop at.
Fantastic spot to start a bike ride to the Oceanside harbor. Nice easy ride, about 9 ish miles to the harbor one way. Fairly flat but there are a few under passes that can get steep for a short bit. Be prepared for the very steep one just before the harbor!

OAK RIPARIAN PARK REVIEWS
Nice play place, simple but enough to run it out. The trail is great! Woods with a little creek then marshy wetlands then before you know it you're on the volcano trail at Lake Calavera! I love the different parts of this trail in such a short walk. Of course if you go to the peak it's too long for the little ones, 5 miles I think, but the walk through the woods and wetlands and then around the corner to see the volcano is perfect for the little ones. This trail would be jogging stroller friendly but a carrier would probably be easier since you have to cross the creek on a board.
Great park with playground and lots of trails for hiking or riding bikes. Dogs on leashes children something for everyone. Large open grassy area for parties. This park leads into Calavera Carlsbad park. Several different trails one goes up to a very old volcano. Walk around the damn takes an hour to do that. Some uphill areas and rocky. Good hiking shoes work best.
Great place to hike with the family. There is quite a lot of shade along the trail. Leashed dogs are allowed. There are flush toilets at the park.
