RED OAKS NATURE CENTER REVIEWS

I’m having my daughter’s birthday party here. They have an indoor area you can choose to eat and celebrate inside or they have a huge covered ping I area that THEY will decorate for you. Costs $100 and they give each kid a bag to take home filled with nature items(flashlights, magnifying glass, compass, etc…they take them all on a nature walk through the woods and they do a whole display on any animal you choose to be featured that day!! They ALSO give you invitations for EVERY guest. I love it here and everyone is super knowledgeable and kind.

This was a pleasant surprise! We came because I was really in the need for a nature walk, and the Forest Trail was really lovely. We got caught up halfway feeding the squirrels which was super fun. I’d definitely come back for a walk here if I was in the area.

What a hidden gem. The tree canopy trails are easy and not muddy. Beautiful koi fish pond. The Nature Center staff was well informed and friendly. Lots of available parking.

Nice building for learning about nature. They have a ton of activities for outdoor learning. Excellent, short trails that cross Rouge River in a few locations. Small to medium grade on some of the trails. Saw 5 bucks in a fairly dense part of the woods on one of the boardwalks!.

Love this nature center so much!! Always see tons of deer, especially the earlier in the day you go. There is a resident racoon family, rescued owls, and even the wild turkeys are amusing to come across. Trails are well maintained as well which is so nice!.

It is one of the most beautiful nature centers. They offer different programs for all ages. They have educational toys, real-life animals, and a Dino digging site. The hicking path is beautiful. And their owl conservation programs are impressive.

CARPENTER LAKE NATURE PRESERVE REVIEWS

This place is excellent for walking the dog, but also for getting into nature while still in the city. The trails are well maintained, and long enough that you can still maintain some solitude as you walk them, if that's what you want. I love the vernal pond and the area left to grow naturally. The flowers are gorgeous.

Loved this little park. It had beautiful trails laid out for a short walk, medium walk, or long walk. There was a Boulder hill that was awesome. It would be a beautiful place to sit and relax.

Love the rock garden and trails. What a hidden gem of the area. I pop in for a walk on my lunch break. Well maintained trails and restrooms.
