“Pawnee Prairie Park spans 624.49 acres along the Cowskin Stream, with properties acquired during the 1960s and 1970s, encompassing various plant species and habitats. The total length of the trail is 2.2 miles, and the elevation gain is 42 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, and the time taken to complete the total trail is approximately 40 minutes. This trail has been recognized as a Wichita Wild Nature area and is the most extensive park in the Wichita Park system. The path is mainly used for bird watching between March and April. Pawnee Prairie Park also features various activities like walking, biking, horseback riding, and spacious picnic areas. Dogs are also allowed in leash areas.”
