“Gwynns Falls Trail is a 15-mile urban hiking and bike trail that provides access to an elegant and historic greenway stream valley. The elevation gain of the trail is 288 feet. The trail is an out-and-back type. The parks encompass 1,200 acres and approximately 20 miles of additional paths. This is also a part of the Maryland state-certified Baltimore National Heritage Area and the National Park Service’s Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network. Gwynns Falls Trail also ensures access to a historic greenway stream valley. The most convenient way to begin the trail is at one of the nine trailheads. Trailhead 1 is located near the City-County line at the I-70 Park and Ride. From there, the trail follows the Gwynns Falls stream southeast to the Middle Branch and Inner Harbor of the Patapsco River's Northwest Branch. The park also features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot.”
