Maryland Zoo is a non-profit organization committed to bringing people to the beauty of their world of living. The zoo was developed with the mission to inspire and educate people. It is residence to over 80 African Penguins and manages North America's biggest and most active African Penguin breeding colony. Visitors can view polar bears on one side and grizzly bears on the other side. They have teams of dedicated keepers who monitor polar bears' behavior and provide them with training and enrichment. It offers half-price admission to the Maryland Zoo members in spring and winter. They have about 60 different species, from penguins to rodents and snakes. Discounts are available on tickets via the U.S. military ticket system for active-duty and disabled service members. It offers complimentary admission for children under 2.
