Maryland Zoo is a non-profit organization committed to bringing people to the beauty of their world of the living. The Zoo is residence to over 80 African Penguins and manages North America's biggest and most active African Penguin breeding colony. Visitors can view polar bears on one side, and grizzly bears on the other side. It provides half-price admission to the Maryland Zoo members, in spring and winter. They have about 60 different species, from penguins to rodents and snakes. Discounts are available on tickets via the U.S. military ticket system for active-duty and disabled service members. It offers complimentary admission for children under 2.
