Living so close by has me visiting Lake Macbride every chance I get. Whether it's kayaking on the lake, hiking the numerous trails, biking along the northern pea gravel trail, or camping/cooking out with friends in one of the many spots throughout, this place has my heart. Highly recommend going on a trip here if you aren't from around the area. And if you are in the area, know that you have a gem of a park in your backyard.
Lake Macbride is a long-time favorite for hiking and boating. We enjoy the hiking trails that wind around the permitter of the lake. The scenery and experience changes with the seasons. If you like nature photography, you will find some nice wide open spaces and close-up photos of the surroundings. Included with this review are some photos from summer as well as fall when the leaves are changing color.
Beautiful place. There are many hiking trails of different distances. Beach to dam is the smallest and simplest trail. Beach is also very beautiful. Restrooms are there near trails and beach. Many picnic benches are there around the place.
