Nice natural nature park with winding trails and overgrown trees. They have three sets of trails that intersect and weave through thick vegetation of mesquite, cactus, and other south Texas brush. You will see and hear a good mix of birds here. I saw many types of lizards scurrying across the paths. I also saw several bunnies. Nice place to walk and relax. They have picnic tables, benches, water fountains, and restrooms.
Nice hidden little gem within the city. My understanding was that this was a former for tanical gardens, however due to funding and what not it was let go in now is just a nature preserve. One and a 1/2 or so miles of crushed granite gravel trails, great to get out for the family, all the local Flora and fauna you'd expect, functional bathrooms, over all a pretty nice place.
Nice maintained nature trails. We saw lots of different types of birds and butterflies. The staff was very friendly and informative on the different species of birds we were seeing. There was a good amount of shade so it wasn't extremely hot. Definitely will visit again. There was no charge for admission, but they did suggest a dollar donation per person.
