McAllen Nature Center is a 33-acre nature site dedicated to the enjoyment of the outdoors. The center offers tourists the opportunity to explore and appreciate the local flora and fauna. McAllen Nature Center is an oasis for native and migratory animals and the people who visit. The site is between Ware and Bentsen Roads on the west side of McAllen, not far from the McAllen Convention Center. Here you can enjoy 1.6 miles of trails (including a ¾-mile ADA accessible trail) through the forest. The McAllen Nature Center is home to a variety of plant and animal species. Programs take place during regular hours of operation. Parking, picnic tables, and restrooms are available on-site. McAllen Nature Center offers free admission for all visitors.
