Great historical park that's sadly not very visited. The park is important as the site of the first official battle during the Mexican-American War. There is a paved interpretative trail that takes you through the history and explains the local flora and fauna. Definitely stop by the visitor's center - the staff is super knowledgeable and there's a small museum and 15 minute educational video.
Walk in the footsteps of history! Great job to the grounds keeper who clears the pathways for visitors to walk safely. Please note, visitor center closes earlier than the walking grounds but restrooms are kept open for use.
Very beautiful and quiet historical place! Nice to enjoy the views of nature that come along with this historical area! Fun for the family or just to enjoy with friends! Highly recommended!
