A recent stay at this DoubleTree did not disappoint and on par with their reputation despite the many older reviews about this location. Most importantly, my room was clean and felt refreshed. The rooms are spacious. The carpet is clean and even in the very corners of the room. Baseboard details with no signs of chipped paint. Bathroom details were impeccable, and fixtures were new. Bedding and towels are also on par with a nice 4-Star accommodations. Certainly a step above with rooms that are cooled and heated through a central HVAC. The hotel bar located just near the Guitar Wall, is comfortable. The full bar has a good selection. The barkeep may need a bit more training in the craft, but this is Bakersfield. Otherwise, keeping it neat isn't a bad thing. The Hilton App is interesting. It enables you to have control of your key card and your TV. Check out was also made available on the App. Don't forget about the cookies. They aren't placed in a basket at the front desk like other locations may have, so just ask their friendly staff behind the counter. They will gladly hand you a nice warm Chocolate Chip Cookie with Walnuts.

We decided to go with the double tree, and I’m so incredibly happy we did. We had an extremely rough start to our trip with rental car issues, and nearly being stranded in LA. But the second we walked into the doors of the hotel, we felt so much relief. We were met by a very friendly front desk attendant. The lobby was beautiful, with great furniture and decor. Very clean. The rooms were big and clean, beds were very comfortable. The landscape outside is also beautifully kept. The housekeeping staff was so friendly and helpful. We asked for our room to be cleaned on our 3rd day, and came back to fresh sheets, towels, and a spotless room! Every where we needed to go, was within a 5-10 minute drive. The restaurant and room service was great for breakfast. It was genuinely such a great stay, and I will 100% continue booking here when we come back to visit.

We had a wonderful stay here, the rooms were clean, huge comfortable bed, good facilities, beautiful bathroom! Pool area was great and quiet. The front desk staff were friendly and we were provided water and cookies on arrival and they upgraded to a king suite as it was available! Can’t fault this stay.

My first time staying at the Marriott for work. The rooms are nice and the location is convenient to the venue where commencement was held. The attribute that stood out for me was the customer service. I had some big boxes of merchandise that I didn't want to leave overnight in my car. Alyssa helpfully offered to store the boxes until I was done working the ceremonies. I'll definitely stay here again.

We loved the location and convenience of the included breakfast. The room had a Continuous loud noise of the refrigerator. The fire alarm kept beeping and the tiny light on the router landed directly on the bed. I thought these were easy fixes. It can be done to make the guests more comfortable.

From the front desk to the bar and restaurant, the customer service is AMAZING!!! They make you feel seen, safe and important! The room is clean, comfy, and perfectly arranged to work or relax! Nice fitness center, too! Free parking, too.
