CARDAMOM REVIEWS

Cardamom is our go-to for Indian food in Ann Arbor. We have enjoyed takeout and dine in from Cardamom for a few years. Their Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta, and Dal Tarka are all excellent. The breads (Roti, Naan, and Garlic Bread) were quite good too. I really enjoyed the Gulab Jamun, which was exceptionally soft. The Rice Pudding was decent as well. The Nimbu Paani was average - felt a little watered down, low on sugar, and with a dominant flavor of cloves. The service was excellent and they were quick to accommodate our large party of 8 people. All in all, we have greatly enjoyed Cardamom over the years and would highly recommend it!

Delicious Indian food for a reasonable price. Portion sizes are the correct size but may seem small to some. We requested medium spice level and found it mild. Friendly service. The place is popular and was packed at 5:30 on Sunday. The parking lot was fairly full.

Excellent (authentic per our Indian colleague) Indian food! I felt the deep, complex but well-balanced taste in all dishes! Steamed momos were good, which I think would be better if they were pan-fried. Mango Lassi was also excellent.

Best Indian food in town, my new favorite place! So fresh and delish. I had the greeter Ashu help me and take my order because I was in a rush. I took a video but unfortunately I cannot add the video but took screenshots of it. I got the mild tandoori chicken, garlic naan, house salad without onions and flour chips and tamaraan. The chicken came with rice as well. Everything was delicious. The wait for food is a little long about 20-30 mins but it’s worth the wait. I will definitely be back.

Shalimar was really good! We were walking around downtown Ann Arbor and it sounded pretty good so we figured we’d check it out. Shalimar has a lunch buffet with a lot of solid options. This is one of the plates that I had. There was a good variety of dishes and all the food was good! On the weekends the buffet is a little bit more expensive, but overall it was a pretty solid value for $17.99. Pretty solid Indian food and I enjoyed the buffet experience!

Stopped for dinner on a whim while shopping downtown. Kurt sat us and also waited on us. He explained the menu gave suggestions on dinner choices. We had a couple cocktails and ate a delicious meal. I would definitely recommend this place. It was clean and looked organized. The waitstaff was excellent. Food was great.

MADRAS MASALA RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Delicious food, the friendliest service I've encountered by far among Indian restaurants in A2, very family-friendly, feels warm and homey and portions are generous. We enjoyed saag paneer, samosas, mango lassi (extra smooth texture- delish!) and 2 types of dosas which came with delicious vegetarian sides. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Really nice flavorful food. The amount of chicken in the tikka masala was decent. The chicken itself was also very flavorful. The naan was fantastic. I’d also recommend the other dishes we got which were samosas, and egg biryani.

The BUFFET IS BACK!!!!! Saturdays and Sundays. Cant wait to come back next week. Celebrating Indian culture today for my Goan late-father’s birthday. Thanks for having us Madras Masala.
