Amazing Indian food in Culver City!!! I did a one-day trip to Culver City for a drone show and decided to get dinner there. I was really craving Indian food, and when I came across this place with so many positive reviews, I just knew I had to try it. And I’m so glad I did. The food here is fantastic. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The sauce was rich. creamy, and a bit spicy, just the way I like it. The rice was also really good, I liked it. Everything tasted super fresh. The portions were generous. I got really full, and it felt like a great value for the price. The restaurant itself is nice. It has cozy and welcoming vibe. It’s clean and felt comfortable for a lunch or dinner. There are plenty of tables and they have some spots for large groups. The staff was friendly and polite, and even though the place was a bit busy, the food came out pretty quickly. If you’re in Culver City and craving Indian food, I definitely recommend this restaurant. I’ll absolutely come back next time I’m in the area to try more dishes (they have pretty big menu).

LOVED the vibe. Family style and homely. Atmosphere took me back home. Very sweet couple running this small family business. Food is of great quality as is expected from the state of Kerala. Owners brings in spices from India. Authentic food very conveniently located. With just one meal, four different people came to ask me if everything was okay! I recommend this place for authentic style food.

Amazing authentic South Indian food, really delicious. The owners and staff are very friendly and provided great service. Loved all of the food, particularly the Kerala Chicken curry. The porotta and the appam were so good too! You must try this.

I visited Southern Spice Indian Restaurant - Lawndale recently and had a really great dining experience. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and inviting, making it easy to enjoy the meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my visit. I ordered a few Indian dishes, and everything came out fresh, aromatic, and full of rich spices. The flavors were well balanced and satisfying. It’s a comforting spot I’d happily come back to again.

Best South Indian food We went in for a lunch buffet. Each item was cooked with perfection, flavor of each one item was so good , felt like eating grand ma food. Rasam, Sambar, Yogurt rice with pickle, bonda, vada.

Good Vegan options for a low price, mainly rice with some nice sauces and vegetable pakora. The owner is very nice and will show you all of the days vegan options as they do change/vary.

I'm from Houston, Texas which is a main destination for Indian/ pakistani cousins. Al-Watan Halal Tandoori Restaurant in California service and quality of food is exceptional. Food is so so delicious and took me back to my childhood time. The owner was very hospitable and attentive to guests needs. You must try this hidden treasure and you'll be delighted to eat authentic meals, reasonable price and homely environment. Thank you for making our food experience delicious and memorable.

Everything (chicken tikka, naan, beef, biryani, samosas, dessert) was super delicious. We drove down from santa monica to pick up and owners were really nice and double checked our large catering order and helped us load into the car.
