I can't speak highly enough of Jan and her team!! I recently purchased a condo and wanted to make it my own, but I have no talent for design and website photos and tips were no help. In addition to her extensive business and design experience, I loved that she also offered a free consultation and worked to find quality design ideas and pieces that were within my budget and fit my personal style and taste. There was something wrong with my living room. We never used it and when we had company, the space was always...cold and awkward. I needed a real professional to help me solve for it, and after doing the due diligence, I called Bertin's. The process was easy. I sent photos, and they visited with creative genius and a tape measure. Now, the entire feel of the space has changed, and it's because of Jan's team who brought it all together.

In addition to her design work, we had to do some small-scale renovations to the house, and if anyone has worked with contractors before, you'll know that it can be difficult to line up all the timetables (electrical, drywall, paint, etc). But Courtney's team of contractors were on point! Everything was easily communicated, the craftmanship was great, and the job was on schedule. Most importantly from a design perspective, the house turned out beautiful! It is such a joy to live in a home that has been tied together with her expertise. She took a relatively common, 1950s space and turned it into something that is comfortable, practical, and beautiful. We would recommend her to anyone!

Courtney is the absolute best and helped me choose paint colors and wallpaper for my entire 1910 rowhouse. My house is very traditional and has line of sight from front to back, so choosing colors that coordinated well with each other and my furniture color palate was key. Courtney went above and beyond in presenting colors and wallpapers for me to review and worked tirelessly with me to get it just right. She came over to my house several times to bring samples and was super easy to communicate with. She is an extremely hard worker and was committed to helping me achieve my vision. I’d recommend her highly to anyone who needs help selecting paint colors and wallpaper as well as general interior design.
