Gombei

I went here on a drunkenly for the second time. The last time I was here I got the curry and it was amazing. I went with their special which was the spicy chicken with the fried oysters. It was delicious even though the initial plan was to get the curry. The oysters are fried in panko and it was juicy and tasted fresh. The chicken was thighs and it had the right amount of kick to it. Not overwhelmingly spicy. There is a nice older Japanese lady who greets you at the door which is the most perfect thing to this restaurant. Very happy with this store and I hope it continue to strive.

We will definitely be coming back! The portions were generous and the prices were really reasonable. The food reminded me of comfort meals I ate in Japan, especially the katsu curry, which was sweet and well-spiced. It was also really cool to see nimono on the menu, which ended up being delicious.

When I have extra time on my hands I love to take a drive and explore a new spot. I know this place has been around for awhile but for me it’s new! I wish I had only got to try it earlier.
