'New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science' was established in 1986. It offers an understanding of their state's distinctive natural and scientific heritage through excellent collections, research, and exhibits. The museum promotes deeper awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of science and its natural environment. Tourists can discover the nature and geological past of the American Southwest through colorful exhibits, including dinosaur models, naturalist center ice-age cave replicas, and volcano walk-throughs. It offers a wide range of programs and educational camps which cover the state's natural sciences. It provides free access to new citizens of Mexico (with ID) on the first Sunday of each month and seniors age 60 and older every Wednesday.

National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is the chartered museum in Smithsonian affiliate of New Mexico. The museum aims to show the varied uses of nuclear energy in the past, present, and future through permanent and changing exhibits and displays. The museum offers exhibitions and professional educational programs, which reflect the variety of individuals and events that form the nuclear age's historical and technological context. It provides group levels of 10 or more for any client. The museum also conducts workshops during breaks in winter, spring, and summer. They afford 300 science centers all over the nation & children aged five and under. Childcare is available before and after camp at the cost of $25/week.

Albuquerque Museum has served as the cultural center of the town since 1967. The museum retains a reputation as one of the Southwest's leading centers for art, history, and culture. The museum promotes people's rich culture, history, and creativity through exhibits at local, national, regional, and global levels. It affords a wide range of programming, including live shows for children of all ages in its amphitheater, as well as docent-guided tours. This museum focuses on the rich heritage of the region and contains exhibits illustrating architecture, history, and culture. It has a collection house of 10,000 art pieces, 27,000 historical artifacts, and more than 130,000 photo archive items. The museum also gives free access to groups in school (K-12) through their magic bus tour program.
