A very well designed museum! It's not that big of a building, but they use every sq foot of space to it's utmost. The place is laid out like a maze, directing traffic on set pathing, and around every turn is a different exhibit. It starts as you'd expect(if you start at the right side), the history of the atomic bomb and delivery systems, but then you turn the corner and find exhibits on life during the bomb's development, how the atomic age shifted culture and generated tourism, fads, and entertainment media. Around this point, you'll get to the door to the outdoor plane exhibit and then it shifts to how nuclear science affected the world after the atomic age (i.e. energy) and ends with a very interesting exhibit on Germany's attempt at nuclear tech. It's packed with lots of information and I imagine you could spend hours here if you want to absorb everything. I was actually here for an event (AAPI Festival) and it was great to see the festival and explore the museum at the same time. Great value.

I can’t say enough good things about this museum. The staff is very friendly and the exhibit is easy to follow. You could spend an hour or half a day here, depending on your interest level. I enjoyed seeing all the big displays - planes, missiles, etc. - and the connections to pop culture (movies, toys), but the part that sticks with me is the first half that traces the history of development and testing of the atomic bomb. Heavy history but important.

WOW! Replicas of every weapon in the US arsenal! I’m a veteran which served during the Cold War so it was very interesting to me. The aircraft park is great! Really see the actual thing up close! It includes the history of the development of nuclear technology and its significance in history and culture.

We visited the Albuquerque Museum today and were absolutely impressed. This place is a treasure trove of art, culture, and history. The exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, covering everything from the region’s rich cultural past to striking contemporary pieces. I loved the mix of beautiful paintings, striking sculptures, and historical artifacts that bring New Mexico’s diverse stories to life. The entire space is clean, bright, and beautifully maintained — truly a pleasure to walk through. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which is always a plus. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. One thing I particularly appreciated was how accessible and well laid out the museum is. It’s easy to navigate, with plenty of benches and spots to pause and take everything in. The sculpture garden is a peaceful oasis, and the rotating exhibitions add something fresh for repeat visits. If you're in Albuquerque, this museum is a must-see. Whether you're an art lover, history buff, or just looking for a relaxing, enriching afternoon, the Albuquerque Museum delivers. Can’t wait to return.

There is a lot to see and take in here. One thing that stands out for me was the gigantic map of Albuquerque on the floor of the Albuquerque room. The outdoor sculptures in front and back are very impressive, too. There are also some rooms showing videos of our shared history. This is a great place to bring children as well as teenagers as it is a learning experience for all ages.

Great museum in a good location. Also has a cafe. My favorite was the Only Albuquerque exhibit. A lot to see. I will do the sculpture garden next time.
