ROOSEVELT PARK REVIEWS
So tranquil. Early a.m. the robins and doves fatten on tree seedlings as pepitas. Their song cannot compare against the other angels in Silver Neighborhood. They burst on scene about sunrise which is 6:30 in May. They are able to gulp in puddles left behind from water sprinklers. Dogs are off leash until 10:00; most are adorable waggers as well. Everyone gets along. The disc golfers like me a polite bunch. Take care of you go and it's BYO water. Tranquility in a slice of city life should be on your partake list.
When I relocated to New Mexico from North Carolina in 2020, a friend living here who also had lived on the east coast told me that I would probably miss green grass and giant trees more than anything. Boy, was he right. So what a lovely surprise when I discovered Roosevelt Park recently when I just happened to be passing by. Although now we are in winter and the grass is brown and the trees stand bare, I went for a visit and I absolutely loved this park. I cannot wait for the warmer months to come when this park will be green and lush. It was a nice day, by winter standards, when I visited and there were multiple small groups enjoying the frisbee golf course. There was also a group practicing yoga. I sat for a while in the park and meditated. There is a nice paved walking trail around the park. On the south end there are beautiful unobstructed views of downtown. There is also a playground for the kids. I really enjoyed my time spent here and look forward to future visits.
Great park! It's incredibly hilly, so it's a great place to walk around and get some vertical walking or running distance. This park is gorgeous, so it's also a great place to just sit around. During sunset, the light catches the trees just right, and it's quite spectacle. There is also a decent disk golf course, just be aware that you have to look out disks!

It has two ponds. Lots of space and beautiful trees. There are baseball lots and more space to set up games.
Mariposa Basin Park is amazing. Grounds are clean. Used the gazebo and had a wonderful time. Had our 50th class reunion and everyone enjoyed themselves. Plenty of parking!
