Glen Eyrie Castle is an English Tudor-style castle built in 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer and located in Colorado Springs. The breathtaking beauty of Eyrie and its rich spiritual history create a place where visitors can set aside their worries and catch their breath for some sacred moments. It is open for public tours and events and can be rented for private programs. There are 17 guest rooms in the castle and seven meeting rooms, including the Castle Great Hall and two dining rooms. It has over 800 acres of magnificent pines, whispering aspen, green lawns, sparkling waterfalls, and impressive sandstone rock faces. The castle has several features that were advanced for its time, including a primitive intercom system and a two-chimney system operated by a lever that would direct the smoke depending on what direction the wind was blowing to take the smoke out of the valley. Glen Eyrie is a place of transformation, inspiration, and a haven.

GLEN EYRIE CASTLE REVIEWS
Feel like a king or queen at this beautiful establishment. We booked a stay to ring in the New Year and absolutely loved the room and breakfast. We saw live turkeys and deer on the property and enjoyed hiking the trails and the wonderful views it had to offer. Book in advance and you'll be blessed.
I was there for Afternoon Tea and it was lovely. Katie my server was just a joy and very attentive. The castle is gorgeous there was a gentleman there who volunteers I didn't get his name but he was very pleasant and know all the history and loves to share it. Highly recommend!!
I took my girlfriend to tea time and proposed to her in front of the castle. It was an unforgettable experience! The property is absolutely gorgeous. The employees are so kind and welcoming, we will definitely be coming back each year for our anniversary.

ROCK LEDGE RANCH HISTORIC SITE REVIEWS
Lived here in Colorado Springs for a few years and never heard of or even discovered this gem. Breathtaking the land the homes animals ect. A vintage feel very detailed tour guides. The ladies and gents were very articulate as well as very nice. The children who also aided in the tours and reenactments were also very nice and friendly. It was a lovely Saturday ~we spent the entire better half of our day at this well kept historic site. I would highly recommend if you are visiting or a native. For a History bunny like myself i enjoyed some of Colorado Springs historic past. This museum allows you to be interactive also. Grazie
Rock Ledge Ranch is my favorite place to visit in Colorado Springs in the summer. The staff are so friendly and have great stories to share. We often visit one or two sites, then bring a picnic lunch to eat by the pond. A couple times, we have made a day of it and visited every site. The time line of history in this region from the Native American site to the Orchard House owned by General Palmer is fascinating. My kids love it and Grandma and Grandpa love it, too. The 4th of July event is also a lot of fun. The scenery is beautiful and the setting is peaceful.
This was an excellent way to experience the past history of Colorado Springs. Beautifully restored and maintained ranch with knowledgeable docents who really represent the era in period clothing and guided tours. What a delight from start to finish. Highly recommend visiting here and Glen Eyrie Castle as well.

WILL ROGERS SHRINE OF THE SUN REVIEWS
The drive is not for the faint of heart. Once you get to the top, the view is in another league. Just imagine how hard it was to get all the materials up the mountains to build this must have been out of this world. If you’re ok with heights then this is you’re stuff. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.
This is a neat stop if you're already going to the zoo. The views are incredible and the structure itself is beautiful! Admission is free with a zoo ticket. You need to see this at least once!
Great experience and great views! Amazing part of your Cheyenne Mountain Zoo experience.
