Palmer Park has incredible views of Pikes Peak and the foothills. It has horse riding and fitness areas, beach volleyball, climbs, and a unique wilderness in the middle of town. The park has a baseball field, seating, a water dispenser in the summer, biking trails, free parking, and horseback riding trails. The park has large areas with reservation shelters, such as lazy land, meadows, youth camp, and council grounds. Palmer Park has ample parking areas. Palmer Park is an excellent place for a hike and has plenty of trails. The great historical city of Colorado Springs Park provides many walking trails for visitors.

Memorial Park has a 1.25-mile Prospect Lake fitness trail around it, used for biking and jogging. The park is Colorado's second-largest skate park at 40,000 square feet. The park features multiple baseball fields, tennis courts, an aquatic centre, an ice skating centre, basketball courts, a bicycle velodrome, sand volleyball, and many multi-use sports fields. There are playgrounds and picnic areas that can be reserved for groups. Memorial Park has a competition-size skate area that is entirely free. There are three playgrounds are big kid-sized, little kid-sized, and toddler-sized. In the park, the pond/lake is relatively peaceful. Memorial Park is filled with children.
