Specialty:
“The Stone House is immersed in the natural setting of the Bear Creek Greenbelt, and the house grounds provide a manicured green oasis. The Stone House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As the nation teetered on the brink of Civil War, two brothers from New York State joined the stream of people heading westward. Joseph and William Hodgson settled in Bear Creek Valley, and Joseph built the Stone House sometime between 1859 and 1864. The lawns mature trees, plant beds, patio, and seating areas offer a serene garden setting for both contemplative spaces and as an extension of the house for rentals for special occasions such as weddings. All rentals are made on a first-come, first-served basis.”
