The Stone House is one of the most beautiful houses in Lakewood, CO. The House is immersed in the natural setting of the Bear Creek Greenbelt. The National Register holds the Stone House for Historic Preservation. The Stone House grounds provide a manicured green oasis to the landmark. As the nation teetered on the brink of Civil War, two brothers from New York state joined the stream of people heading west. Joseph and William Hodgson settled in Bear Creek Valley, and Joseph built the Stone House between 1859 and 1864. The lawn mature trees, plant beds, patio, and seating areas offer a tranquil garden setting for both contemplative spaces or as an extension of the House for rentals for special occasions such as weddings, and all rentals are made on a first-come and a first-served basis.

THE STONE HOUSE REVIEWS
Neat house, came for the walking trails though. The walk around the pond is about a half kilometer. Just enough for a lunchtime on a nice day. Plenty of parking which is free. Some of the path is concrete, others are grated dirt. But this also connects to the much larger system of trails along the greenbelt.
Held a wedding here. Building had AC so was a perfect place for the bride to get ready and for people to cool off. Has nice flowers, and well kept lawn.
Scenic and cared for trails. The Stonehouse has a nice quiet spot with benches to sit and enjoy the abundant natural beauty.

BELMAR LIBRARY REVIEWS
The staff was so helpful and friendly! HUGE shoutout to Rae for being an absolute *ray* of sunshine! They were a huge help in finding a book I was interested in! Also shoutout to Elizabeth and Bea at the front for also being amazing!
This library is beautiful and spacious. I love how many spots there are to read/study, and how much natural light comes in. The large windows facing Belmar park help you feel immersed in nature. I love coming here.
The staff are very helpful, place is large and kept as clean as they can considering how busy it is.

LAKEWOOD LIBRARY REVIEWS
The staff was very helpful in setting me up with a library card -- I am looking forward to coming back for some of the toddler time activities. My son loved the children's section and we got a lot of great books to read at home. Thank you!
I really like this library! There is plenty of room for hanging out on your computer or working for a couple hours. Super friendly staff and knowledgeable pages, great selection and help if you need it. I did not expect to enjoy the library this much, but it is really quite nice.
Friendly, competent staff - Super helpful. Meeting and study rooms readily available, and easy to reserve on-line. Plenty of parking. Plus, you know, it's a library!
