3 Best Places To See in Lakewood, CO

A beautiful park with a great exercise trail. We visited this location on a beautiful Saturday morning hoping to schedule a guided tour. Unfortunately, the guided tour was unavailable. However, we were able to retrieve a map from the visitor/museum center. We walked around exploring the historic grounds and ended up spending two hours on the trails. The trails were full of horse back riders, joggers and dog walker's. Everyone was friendly and positive vibes were flowing. In addition, we enjoyed a brief stop at the museum (don't forget to leave a small donation). To get the best experience, I highly recommend you stop by the visitor center to get a map and dial the number listed for LAKEWOOD BY CELL. Overall, a wonderful walking tour with informative historical sites.

My husband and I were recently married and were able to work with Jake and the entire team at Belmar Park do that we could use park grounds as the venue for the ceremony and reception. When I tell you the entire team exceeded our expectations, I am not lying to you. Everyone at the park was so kind, helpful and overall seemed very excited to help us plan our special day. I cannot recommend this park enough to anyone trying to plan a beautiful outdoor event in the Lakewood area.

Outstanding lil park in the suburbs of Denver. Walking paths, lake, bird watching, piers and much more all protected and tucked away 10 minutes from the downtown area. Great place to hide under a tree and eat lunch. Swing by for a spell of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle.

I never imagined I’d spend two hours in a miniature museum, but this place completely exceeded my expectations. I was traveling and looking to kill some time on a Friday afternoon. Since the museum was just half a mile from my hotel, I decided to check it out. At first glance, it seemed like a small space, but then Neal greeted me and began showing me around. Being the only visitor at the time, I ended up getting a private tour, which made the experience even more special. I’d never examined miniatures so closely before and was blown away by the intricate details in each piece. Neal’s enthusiasm and deep knowledge brought everything to life. He patiently shared the stories behind the art, transforming what might seem like simple displays into fascinating works of art. Two hours flew by, and we had only finished exploring the main room (there’s more downstairs!). Neal’s storytelling made the miniatures ten times more captivating. This museum is an absolute gem, and I can’t recommend it enough! Ps, the hundred year old Japanese doll Ms Yokohama is my fav.

This place is a lovely hidden gem, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The musical itself is pretty small, but you could spend hours soaking up all the details. Next time I'm in Denver I'll definitely visit again.

My friends and I genuinely enjoyed our visit! The docent was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and there were so many fantastic details to explore.
