Truly an incredible place! Our son has been coming here for 6+ years for drum lessons and he has loved it! He even joined a band through the school and has started a band with his friends. It’s been a great time watching him grow and gain confidence in his playing. We had Rob as a wonderful teacher for many years and after he retired, Alec has picked up the reigns and let our kiddo soar! The front desk staff has always been kind and flexible as well. Thanks so much.

My 6 year old has been coming here for about six months and having a great experience learning how to play a keyboard. I think it’s neat to see her mind growing in new creative ways reading music and coordinating her left and right hands to play. Her teacher is kind, patient, and has a sense of humor that helps keep her engaged. I’d recommend this school for anyone.

My kids love to play piano here. The teachers are great, have a lot of patience! Staff is always helpful. We reccomend this place for music adventure.

WEST COLFAX ACADEMY AT GOLDEN MUSIC REVIEWS

Her whole 10-year-old life, Hannah has loves to sing, anywhere, everywhere, and all the time. We call it, the Han-dora (Pandora) station. The first time she met her teacher, she said, "I could sing with him all day long. He is SO much fun! Can I have a voice lesson every day" She loves to practice her vibrato, her up and down chords, and her breathing. We are so happy to have found West Colfax Academy at Lakewood.

My 5th grade son started playing the French horn this school year. He has a beautiful instrument in great shape and is really enjoying learning to play it. West Colfax Academy in Lakewood has been a part of the process. Music is part of my life in that...I love music. I can't imagine a day without hearing music. I love hearing my son make music and replicating music that he hears! I wish I had that gift.

I have enjoyed taking piano lessons from at West Colfax Academy Golden Music in Lakewood. I have played off and on for many years, and I'm learning a different set of skills than I was taught previously.

Before I met Forbsey, I spent my time with two other vocal coaches. Each one taught me how to sing one specific genre of music, which soon became a problem as a continued to find my voice. Many times as a singer, you tend to evolve as you listen to different music in new seasons in your life. And if your teacher can't teach you as you continue grow, how can you craft 'your sound' With Forbsey's experience as a coach, and her broad taste in music, I have been able to sing not only Broadway, and jazz, but pop and rock as well. Most importantly, I've been able to sing with no strain to my voice. She has showed me how to apply the different techniques of singing to each genre of music and make it my own.

I have never felt more confident in my life. Learning something new in a structured way has brought a newfound sense of accomplishment and I owe it all to Monique. Her lessons are affordable and she holds you accountable while still making it an extremely fun and rewarding experience. Would recommend her to any adult who wishes to take on something new for themselves.

Great place, spotless. My kid takes drum lesson from Dave, an excellent teacher. Mike, the guitar teacher, is a friendly guy. They also have their own band. I am so glad they moved from the San Bernardino location, making it much easier now for us now to get to lesson.
